Possibly the biggest news since beginning to write and perform my own songs, at long last, I have made a full-length album: The Long Way Out. It will be unleashed June 7, 2013, when I will play a CD release show at the Lily Pad in Cambridge, MA. My excitement for this show is made even greater because I will be opening for Diane Cluck, whose music I have loved for many, many years.

This show is also thrilling for me because I am collaborating with an unprecedented number of people—amazing, talented people—who make my songs greater than I ever imagined they could be. I am happy to have cellist Valerie Thompson accompany me once again (she is all over my album and sounds fabulous), and this time I will also be graced by backing vocals by singer/composer Mary Bichner, and singer-songwriter Sarah Rabdau. Ariel Bernstein, who recorded and engineered The Long Way Out, will lend his percussion skills to the set, and Tony Leva, my dear Jaggery bandmate who usually is seen playing an upright bass, will contribute a trumpet solo!

I am also having a CD release show in New York, which I feel very lucky to have obtained, as it is in a prime time slot on the primest day of the week at the cozy magical retreat in the Village known as Caffè Vivaldi. Valerie Thompson, cellist extraordinaire mentioned above, will be accompanying me and lending backing vocals to my songs. Then her band, Goli (duo of Valerie and Vessela Stoyanova on MIDI marimba), will continue the night with chamber music for the modern era that will surely lift your spirits.
