Reflections & Dreams of Delivery

dear hot tamales and cool cats,

i hope you are staying water-filled and somewhat cool as the summer has been descending heavily upon some of us with humidity and burning some of our backyards in the west (truly frightening).

with my fan on at full blast, i am sitting and reflecting upon that fact that exactly one month ago,
The Long Way Out was released into the world! it's nice to see it from the other side of the calendar now with a sigh of relief instead of nervousness and time pressure. a stack of boxes rests in the corner of my room, full of compact discs bunked up together, waiting to be tucked into envelopes and sent off to yet-unknown homes, whispering to each other about whose hands might welcome them, whose ears they might get to dance into...

they wait, they dream, and they wait. perhaps you could adopt one and make its dreams come true!

if you'd like to welcome one of them into your home, simply go
HERE.
they will gratefully love you and sing to you whenever and as many times as you like!

but enough anthropomorphism. i am also gearing up for a special performance with jaggery in a(n) historic spiegeltent on the Boston Common! as always, read on for details...

double sevens,
petaluma

A bit about The Looking Glass Revival:
Face the music with Boston’s finest theatrical bands Jaggery and Walter Sickert & the Army of Broken Toys, who come together for your entertainment in Outside The Box's Speiegeltent. The high priestesses and priests of Jaggery will cleanse your mind and saturate your spirit with intricately woven avant-pop tales of operatic resurrection, while Walter Sickert & the ARmy of BRoken TOys conjure apocalyptic-folk demons with phantasmagorical steamCRUNK. Master of Ceremonies J. Cannibal (Feast of Flesh) acts as your guide, ushering you towards the inner looking glass and ever closer to your personal renaissance.

A bit about the Outside the Box Festival:
From July 13th – 20th, the first annual performing arts festival will turn public spaces like the Boston Common and City Hall Plaza into performance spaces, with over 200 events showcasing the best of Boston and Massachusetts. And one of the things that makes Outside The Box so revolutionary? Every event is completely FREE! In true festival tradition, Outside The Box not only aims to unify the community, but to make art accessible to everyone. From theater to dance, the symphony to independent bands, classic to cutting-edge – whatever your preference, Outside The Box will intrigue you, draw you in, and introduce you to new talent. All you have to do is show up, and let our diverse programming do the rest.
